We allocate capital across three business lines, each with its own mandate and each held to the same standard: own quality businesses, pay a sensible price and think in decades.

Public Markets

MXC Global Management is our investment management business. It manages a concentrated long/short public equity strategy built on two pillars. The first is buying exceptional businesses at prices that understate their value. The second is working constructively with companies where value can be unlocked.

Our investment process begins with a deep understanding of a business, its competitive position, and the expectations already reflected in its market price. From this foundation, we determine the most effective path to realizing intrinsic value. In many cases, patient ownership allows value to compound over time. Where strategic, operational, financial, or governance initiatives can accelerate value realization, we engage constructively with management teams, boards, and other stakeholders to help achieve that outcome.

We combine value-oriented fundamental research, disciplined underwriting, prudent risk management, and constructive engagement when appropriate to build a concentrated portfolio of high-conviction investments. By remaining patient, selective, and globally focused, we seek to preserve capital, compound intrinsic value, and deliver superior long-term returns for our investors.

Private Markets

We are building a portfolio of established, profitable private businesses, acquired as controlling stakes and owned permanently. We have no fund life and no exit timetable. For owners, that means continuity for their employees, customers and legacy. For the businesses, it means a partner focused on building value through reinvestment and add-on acquisitions.

What we look for

Owner earnings (cash flow after a market-rate CEO salary, maintenance capex, working capital investment and taxes) of $1.5 million to $3 million
Established and profitable
Essential products or services and recurring customer demand
Room to grow, including through add-on acquisitions
Majority ownership (50% or more)

What owners can expect

Permanent ownership, with no plan to resell
A quick, straight answer, whether or not we are interested
Respect for the culture and people that built the business
